I love how Murakami's fiction still has some cool facts in it; facts that you would never hear of elsewhere nor ever be interested in if you haven't read about in this book.

I forgot how gripping Murakami's writing is.

It is however an older form of media, and is limited in time so compared to tv series, It doesn't have enough time to complexify plots and characters.

Okay, Johnson made three great points so far.
1- If video games had existed before the introduction of literature, we would've reacted to the culture switch the same way we did with the subject of video games.
2 - The greatest of all pedagogical fallacies is the notion that a person learns only the particular thing he is studying at the time (applies to video games)

Chapitre sur les cascades d'énergie: une sorte d'arbre binaire de particules, on commence par une particule puis deux après l'intéraction de photos avec un noyau d'un atome (particule et anti-particule) puis 4 et 8 et ainsi de suite.. Paul Dirac définira alors un système d'équations qui définit 4 états à un électron relativiste dont 2 on ne connait pas la source (anti électron maybe?). Carl Anderson découvre alors l'antimatière.

Chapitre sur la dualité onde-particule, la description de l'effet photoélectrique par Albert Einstein, et quelques bribes de la méca quantique; difficile à assimiler quand la physique classique est basée sur l'indéterminisime.

Chapitre sur le corps noir, la cata ultraviolette, et comment un physicien qui ne voulait surtout pas faire le révolutionnaire et qui était souvent sceptique a inéluctablement lancé la physique quantique.
