Low glycemic foods (nuts, whole fruits & vegs, lean meat (jerky, fish, chicken, elk, etc), fiber supplements (Metamucil). Dried apricots/apples and KIND bars. Protein. Let your return to civilization also be an entry into a new lifestyle. Light day walks -> high intensity workouts. Probiotics, fish oil, whey protein powder, MCT oil.
