I'll just hate-reading at this point

Really liking it so far. I actually got scared at one part, which was great! I haven't been able to find anything scary lately at all. I guess the real world is so scary right now it's hard to be afraid of fiction.

I didn't like the Abigail chapters at all. Unless you're looking for underage lesbian porn, you probably won't like them either. I feel like I need a shower!

Also, instead of having Kobna narrate the whole thing, they're apparently hired a kid of Sunday exactitude to narrate Abigail's parts, and she sounds like she's reading her bff's fan fiction.

Instead of hiring a quality narrator for those parts, we get shit

This entry into the Cormoran Strike series is the hardest for me to read. I have to skim the part where Robin goes undercover. It's just too much for me. I love it though.

This is one of the best in the series!

So far the author seems like a HUGE misogynist. 7 don't I'll finish this one because misogyny is too prevalent in real life, I don't want to read about it.

You know how in a book when things have happened and then one character meets another and says something like "I've gotta tell you all that had happened to me."? And you know how writers will just fast forward from that point because there is no reason to repeat everything that has happened because we already read all that? Well this writer doesn't do that. She basically repeats EVERYTHING that has gone on!

The main character has to be the stupidest person I've ever read about. I'm honestly questioning the author's intelligence because who would write someone so stupid?

I'm only going to be able to finish this by pretending the first chapter was dealing with the main character's massive brain injury that leaves her with no short term memory.

Suddenly Mrs Bloxby's name is Sarah instead of Margaret. Beaton really didn't give a shit about continuity.

I am having to listen to this one at a higher speed just to get through it. This narrator is HORRIBLE!

This is the worst narrator. She doesn't differentiate between characters so everyone, male and female sound exactly the same. So annoying! I'm glad they only let this hack do one book. Although even one is too much when the so-called "talent" is this bad!

Author vociferously defending teacher/14 year old student sexual "relationship". I'm going to be sick.

I doubt I'll read any more by this author because of the misogyny. I'm too old to put up with some dude's bullshit.

Although, it's pretty accurate for police. IF they respond at all, they then treat YOU like the criminal. Unless you're black, then they just shoot you.

This author must despise women. There is way too much misogyny in this book. I'm getting pissed off reading this!

Do not get the audiobook. The narrator isn't Kobna, it's some chick that sounds like she just left munchkinland. So annoying!

This one doesn't have the cute "new chapter music' either. Why would they change it?

The actor who plays Sherlock sounds just like John Nettles! It's not him, but wow they sound alike!

Not really loving this one. I'm going to finish it though. I'm too far in to not finish.

Ok I enjoy Victorian literature, but this thing is just garbage. It'll be like 4 pages spent saying the same thing over and over in slightly different ways. Oh how I'd love for a modern editor to lay hands on this mess. NOT RECOMMENDED
