Probably would have abandoned this book at this point if I was not reading it for a book club. So far it feels like a short story stretched into the length of a novel. Not super compelled by any of the mysteries of the world or the characters or even the robot protagonist who I should love by now. Feeing very underwhelmed so far.

They should call this book “All the happy horses” on account of how happy it is

I fear this playing out dangerously like a Marty Robbins song

First two stories are excellent.

We love John Grady don’t we folks? We love Jimmy Blevins too.
