I heard the author speak at a book festival and she was great! I got the book out of the library and it is on my nightstand. I think it will take awhile for me to finish.

Just read a passage about the first time she heard her son laugh and it made me smile.

The Little Lady was awake from 1-4 a.m. yesterday and I read this while she fooled me into thinking she was going to stay asleep for longer than five minutes. I felt calmer and less alone.

Hard to think of original descriptions with my status updates- still brilliant.

I can only read the book in short intervals, but I feel like each paragraph adds some good pep to my step.

I heard that this book was a pep talk for new moms and I could certainly use one!

Last year, I made a resolution to read one more book than I did in 2010. My goal was to read 20 books this year and I read 10. I am going to have a modest goal of reading 12 books in 2012. In spite of a low number of books completed, I still had an amazing year! I am glad that books were part of it. I will start reading earnestly in March after the bar exam

much easier to update with goodreads app. I also feel optimistic about finishing this book in 2011.

As I get closer to the end, the slower I read

slowly and steadily making my way through

I have a "soft goal" of finishing the book by the end of the year. The baby may have other plans for me :)

up to the 90s and I have to say that the battle against cancer is not progressing as well as I would have expected.

I know that it is not common to mention breast, bra, or pumping in a reading update, but I got a new bra which makes it possible to have hands free breast pumping. This has made it possible for me to read a bit more, so YAY!

I finally got to read a book again! Over six weeks since my last update, guess having a baby does change everything :)

Finished! I should write my review before book club tonight, but I need to finish up thank you notes and take a nap :)

doing a quick read of this book in order to finish for book club tomorrow night.

Over breakfast,I learned more about the origin of the pap smear.

Finished a section about tobacco and cancer. Starting to get into parts of cancer story which are more familiar to me.

Read a bit after we lost power and my laptop died. Feel like my inner nerd got excited because there is a lot of discussion about epidemiology.

If the power goes out, I may end up reading a lot of this book tonight by flash light

Still engrossed in the story

I was being driven into work which was comfortable, but cut down on reading time. Since returning to the train, my reading pace has increased. Amazingly, the book continues to hold my interest!

Taken with the story and hoping that I can finish the book before I leave the area at the end of August.

Interesting to read about the cancer research and collaboration in Boston and Buffalo.
