when I started this book, I never would have guessed how much I would like the March family!

Hooray for education as a revolutionary act!

I am also loving the fierce spirit of Marmee Day.

I never would have guessed that Mr. March would become one of my favorite literary characters

within a chapter, this is suddenly a really engaging story that I an excited to continue.

Had a chance to read a few pages over dinner. Wish I could have read more.

Selection for June book club meeting. Only just begun and already the book feels dark and sad

In the book, Sam is now six months old. While time is going fast for the author, I am enjoying the slower pace.

Began on a bus/train ride. Have been thinking about it ever since, but have not had a chance to pick it up again.

Confusing and Intense

Foiled by the library hold system again. I had to return the book and wait my turn for to check it out again. Oh well, I guess drawing out the story will make it better :)

One (of many) nice things about when my daughter has a long nap is the chance to go deeper into a good story.

I can certainly relate to Hadley trying to beak out of her family's protective image of her, but being unsure with how to proceed.

loved the passage I read tonight about feeling jealous at other people's success or ease with which they seem to cope with things.
