When I read the description I didn’t pick up on the fact this was taking place is a Norse Mythology based time.

Well, some of this is a little cringy. I’m at the part where we’re pretending to be the German dog trainer and I’m forcing myself to continue.

Well this is a salivating read. I don’t want to put this down.

Holy crap, I am sobbing like a little bitch. Part one hit way too close to my heart. I could not control my tears from falling.

Stockholm Syndrome at its finest. But yet, I’m sick and twisted enough that I can’t put this down and don’t want it to end.

I'm only 30 pages in and I can tell you right now there are wayyyy too many characters. It's barely holding my interest. It's almost 2 characters introduced per page. Stop. And why is everyone related?!

The most entertaining part of this book, so far, is the mini descriptions of the survivors. Their stories. I enjoy reading about "the aftermath".

People of the early 20th century bother me. I know it was a completely different era, but how naive can you be?! I can't even fathom being a women in the 1910's.

Could this book be any more related to my life? I feel like if you could replace Maggie's name with mine, then this could loosely be my autobiography. I'm not too far in, but I can't tell if I'm hooked because this is so closely related to my life or if it's an enticing story.

This is my first leap into Stephen Kings short stories. I found myself expecting more gore and gruesomeness, but I'm not that far. So far, so good... just wasn't what I expected.

I know I am only on page 10, but usually by this time in a book you get a feel for it. I have no idea what is going on in this. I'm really trying to give it the benefit of the doubt, but this is a challenge. By challenger, I don't mean the vocabulary is hard, but this plot is confusing to me.

Snooze fest so far. I should have read the back of the book. Then I would have known it wasn't a continuation of the previous book, but yet, another damn spin off. I hate when series do this.

I love the back and forth back butting between joss and Braden. Now let's see how the chips fall. So far so good. Minus the fact I can't put anyone's accent into my head. I read everything with an American accent. Oops.
