"Strange Rain" by Jennifer Bosworth - 4 stars

"All the Girls Love Michael Stein" - 5 stars - This one's cute.

"Select Mode" by Mark Lawrence - 1 star - A brief story that seems to be pointless, though it may well be more enjoyable for someone who has read the series it takes place in. Not a fan of the writing style either, though.

I have been hearing from many people that this is where the series really starts to slow down, but I've found the first half of this book to be far more engaging than the 3 books before it.

"The Coach with the Big Teeth" by R. A. Salvatore - 4 stars - Ouch, right in the feels.

"The Sound of Broken Absolutes" by Peter Orullian - 5 stars - Lots of emotion in this one.

"Mudboy" by Peter V. Brett - 3 stars

"The Martyr of the Roses" by Jacqueline Carey - 3 stars

"Game of Chance" by Carrie Vaughn - 4 stars

"The Old Scale Game" by Tad Williams - 4 stars

"How Old Holly Came To Be" by Patrick Rothfuss - 2 stars - An interesting format and use of language but I just didn't find it satisfying as a story.

"Imaginary Friends" by Terry Brooks - 3 stars

Reading for the third time now for a book club. Love this one!

Well, for about 10 chapters there the book was really quite exciting, but now I'm back to forcing myself to keep reading, and in the last 10% of the book no less. The other fantasy novels being written at the time must have been terrible for this longwinded slog to have been a bestseller.

Finally something exciting happened in Chapter 30!
