Kalladin's introduction, as well as Brandon's description of confusion of the battle through Cenn's eyes, is probably one of the greatest chapters I have ever read in a fantasy book. Ever.

when my expectations are, after mediocre first book (it was a first book, after all), back to reasonable height - I can continue with the series and see what was all that fuss about.
Hoping for the best!

How does a slump work? Is it like:
