I just read this article about this guy named David Goggins. Based on the article and further research, he seems like a legit dude.

Oh my gosh.

She is slightly upset because she hadn't talked to her friend since yesterday.

I have a double irk with this because I have a friend who is like this. She was getting upset because this guy she was talking to hadn't snapchated her in over twelve hours.

ONE DAY IS NOT A BIG DEAL! It would have been better had it been like a week.

Okay. Now it makes more sense why she has to choose a parent. But I still think she failed to set up the world before this big explosion in Addie's life.

I know we don't want to info dump here, but it would have been nice to know such things as the Normal and the Compound before she had to choose which parent. It would have made a little more sense.

Or all of this could just be me.

I just finished the first chapter and I have issues with it. I don't think West built it up enough. or maybe it is something else. I don't think the scene between Addie and her parents was realistic enough. people have abilities here but isn't still set in current times on Earth? If so, I don't think Addie would have had to chose which parent to live with? Why couldn't there be joint custody?

I think it would be so cool if the Grisha trilogy and the Sic of Crows trilogy could be turned into movies. Movies that stay true to the book. This world Bardugo has created would look amazing on screen!
