Aw, that’s really shitty.

The prologue was cheesy. Interested to see where this goes.

She’s gonna get in trouble.

I finished the book a few days ago, but the audio I listened to through Scribd was corrupted and I missed most of Chapter 8 and bits of chapter 7 and a time bit of an early chapter. I got the ebook from my library and have filled in the gaps.

And the story lines converge.

I’m enjoying this quest. And the characters she’s collecting along the way.

Wow, this is so different from Guide to Defensive Baking.

A belated birthday present from my ever thoughtful husband.

I didn’t turn on the video console even once on the flight back and despite sleeping for most of the flight I did get a good hour of reading in.

“The famous example [of the a modern rondo] from Strauss *Till Eulenspiegel’s Merry Pranks*, is too complex to be grasped without special analysis.” Which, my dear reader, is beyond you. Ugh. Couldn’t he have just said, “For a fine and very complex example of the modern rondo please listen to…”

My fine buddy reader Jonathan pointed out these little condescending jabs and now I find them irritating.

I meant to finish this book while I was in DC this summer, but haven’t been in the mood for non-fiction, work-like stuff. But here I am with 4 more days of our stay. Let’s see if I can do it.

This is a quick read and I had some good chunks of time today! Yay!

We had a mini road trip (to West Virginia - Antietam, Harpers Ferry, Shepherdstown). and listened to more. They are now in Moria. Shudder.
