Fascinated so far and in love with the language!

I'm thinking that it's not going to end well.

Whoa! Where did Cody come from?? It's been a long time since I've encountered such an eloquently created Whackadoo. Cold chills...

I've completely fallen into the gentle rhythm of the prose and hope never to resurface!

I've been so exhausted from work lately that I only get through about 15 pages or so before nodding off to sleep. That's no reflection on the wonderful writing though :0)

The memoir has hit a lull; hope it picks up!

This may sound strange, but despite the constant violence and moral degradation of these poor children, I'm so captivated with this memoir b/c I know kids like this but could never understand what was going on with them. I feel enlightened. It's a sad enlightenment, but I'll be a more compassionate individual because of it.

It's bizarre, but I spent about 13 hours at school yesterday for Conference Night. Totally exhausted and my head is spewing out ideas for the novel I'm currently working on. IDK why when I'm sick, run-down, etc., I come up with my best ideas. Too funny.

This is such a compelling read. I wish I had more time to devote to it right now!

Well written. A tough read so far (emotionally) but riveting.

Billie Letts does not disappoint! This novel's been hard to put down. Can't wait to know the answers to the mystery!

Bought this book at a yard sale for 50 cents. I really enjoyed "Where the Heart Is". We'll give it a go.

I'm starting to lose the joy of reading this b/c it's SO focused on Faerie in this YA, simplistic way. I don't know...I'm invested this far in; I feel like I have to finish it.

I'm really interested in the storyline between Blanche and Rosamond. Every time the story diverges into the land of Faerie though I lose interest. Like...I'm feeling like I'm too old for this. But maybe that speaks to the way this novel is told; it doesn't feel quite like a "fairy tale for adults" and not because of the lack of vulgarity; rather, the lack of complexity.

This is a refresher for teaching it to sophomores this year. Let's explore the seedier side of humanity, shall we?

Creeping closer. This is a fascinating book; I'd be enjoying more if I weren't on a time crunch. But I'm loving all of the dystopian suspense and the literary, adult way in which the story is told.

It's taken some time to master the new language (and to get back into at after returning from vacation-the book was too big to pack), but now I'm fully engrossed in this story.
