I’m starting the day with all the characters in place for the Battle of Koter.

Not sure how I feel about suddenly introducing a new group of foxes. Really?

They’re closing in on Salamandastron. Tsarmina has gone crazy, and The CORIM are tunneling under Koteer.

Whoever voiced that eel is my hero!

Somehow, I’m not figuring % correctly. I’m liking the bats, and that one is voiced like Dracula. Their repeating thing is neat, too.

Messed up my percentage yesterday. I’m not liking the voices for some characters this time around. Same people, different roles.

I keep waiting for the robin to get caught.

The search is on for Salamandastron while the woodlanders try to get food to the mole kids.

Ferdy and Coggs have been captured. Martin is going to Salamandastron.

So this is the book with Gonff, Prince of Mouse Thieves! Second time through, and I’m catching the set up for later books. Loamhedge, Lord Brocktree, etc.

On this third read, I’m still really enjoying the book. What always gets me, though, is the sudden change in people. Matthias was quite a bumbling mouse who transformed into a warrior overnight. That’s my only beef with books. People who weren’t leaders become quite confident right away.

On this third read and after reading the whole series once, I can see more of the tie ins to later stories.

Turns out I’m not as far as I thought I was. Only about half way, and I’ve been listening for about 40 minutes a day for several days. Oh, well. It’s still an enjoyable story.

Chickenhound has made it to the Abby. I don’t remember if he plans to kill anyone there or just use his time to get well and be lazy.

I read the book once, listened to the audio book once, and am now almost done with the audio book again. I started a while ago, and audible doesn’t give percents that I’ve seen, but I’m close to the end.

Before even starting, you know exactly where this book is headed. It’s still sad, though.

Okay. Back at it. It’s pretty funny how the kids are trying to save One student from being kicked out of school while one other student is trying to make sure he gets kicked out.

So, yeah. This is definitely set up to be an adventure. I’m invested, but having a hard time getting lost in this book.

Well, THAT was a surprise. I’m very skeptical of these two new people. They’re not right.

Definitely not for a fourth grade class. Hitchhiking, running away, riding around with complete strangers... this book has a lot that little kids don’t need for ideas.

On the other hand, it’s very interesting. I’m enjoying it.

Well THIS book is way darker than than the first! This is not a book I would consider as a read aloud in fourth grade at all. I thought the first one was pushing it. This one goes all out with wife beating.

For how short the pages are and the chapters, moving through this book seems to be taking quite some time. It’s interesting, though, so it doesn’t seem long.

This is a story about a fifth grade class told through the eyes of the students. I see many of my own students in this book. It’s interesting so far.
