There is a lot of cultural references in this book. From soy-leant green to a lot of Harry Potter similarities. I feel like I'm even missing some of it.

Reading this book for one of my education classes. Hopefully I enjoy it. So far lots of names, making it a tad hard to keep track of people. Feels like it's describing my first week of college freshmen and sophomore year (maybe even Junior year 😅)

My top picks were Hale and Henri... and Erik, even if he is not actually in the selection. I don't mind Kile, but at times it seems somewhat forced... I just want her to pick Henri, but she probably will pick Kile. :/

It's diving deeper and deeper into what makes a religion true or not. It attempts to make people question what they believe, especially if they are only taking someone else's word for it.

Getting very heavy with religion and philosophy.

This book just got intense! I can barely put it down to sleep!!!! If this book ends well I am soooo buying it!

Mike is so innocent and serious. He is currently my favorite character.

Smith is such a funny character, so unexpected.

This makes me think of those old black and white movies mixed in with gangster talk of killing people off.

Already I like Valentine Michael Smith's strange understanding of what different English words and phrases mean. My question is, how long was he on Mars for? What happened to his parents?

Finally on part 3!

This book just gets deeper and deeper. Sorta like the movie Inception, but you are awake for it.

I'm starting to really get into the book. The beginning was confusing, with such similar names! It's interesting how the book keeps pre-shadowing what is to happen next. Not sure if I have a favorite character yet.

It's interesting, as the reader, being able to know everyone's thoughts. Not being tied down to just one viewpoint is nice. A little tricky to follow, lots of new/made-up words.
