Politics & corruption reign like fire over the ancient City of Cahokia.

A trip into the once rather monolithic (IMHO) community of Cahokia and the complexities of politics predating society as we now know it and even societies of the past several hundred years. People haven't changed much. What we see is corruption and power mongering, murder and passion. This GoodRead requires your attention, but not to fear, it *will have* your attention.

Fantastic! This entire series is so well woven. The characters ring true and grow up - spanning 12 - 13. These heroes & heroines possess true courage and soul; they grew strong as a result of trial by fire -- pitted against two evil and formidable foes. War rages!

Chief Atotarho's fall has begun!

Yes !! Got so excited to crawl into bed tonight to see how the Bur Oak Village can stand with a 3 day supply of water against Chief Atotarho's forces that have taken up Yellow Tail Village next door. Is Sindak going to remain true to the Standing Stone People or will he resume his alliance as former War Chief with the Hills People? He holds the key to the fate of those held within the palisades of Bur Oak Village.

The pressure is on. An alliance for peace is in the making. But Chief Atotarho's hate continues to ravage. But Sky Messenger is determined & on his way to rally peace support.

So far, very good! The struggles for resources continues & the struggle of many against the vile Atotarho continues. Sky Messenger's prophecy is being realized, and suspense is building! :)

So far, this is terrific! I am happy I stumbled upon this book. I had no idea Jimmy Webb had put together this book! I am honored to have a copy of it.

The fighting has begun. It is likely the beginning of the fulfillment of Sky Messenger's Dream!

This book delivers an engaging and exciting story! I'm so eager for Part 4!

I had to start Chapter 15 again. Kep getting to bed too late! Not to mention how much I'd like to slap one of the characters! This is yet another wonderful bookz, thanks to Michael & Kathleen!

War Chief Koracoo leads her small group endeavoring to locate & rescue the children that were stolen.

People of different nations join in the search of children who were stolen by a witch who will sell them into slavery or worse. Starvation & famine are exacerbated by drought in the North Woods. Great book!

As usual, a great read. It is wonderful to read because it teaches me of my indigenous ancestors. It teaches the hardships they had. It teaches me gratitude for the cushy things I have, but it makes me sad for the loss of true freedom and the loss of living at one with the wild.

This book is AMAZING! Everyone could benefit from it. If everyone would practice the principles in this book, what an amazing world we'd create!
