NOTE TO SWLF: I had to read the first five chapters for Spillman’s WWII class, but this would be a good one to finish sometime, probably this summer.

I may still prefer a good Tracie Peterson, but there is something about this genre that is “home” to me no matter who does the storytelling. I read this, the fifth book in the series, in honor of the fifth season of WCTH (airing this February in the Hallmark channel).

This was immediately a feel-good story. At the conclusion of the first chapter I felt like a little girl again. It’s not always easy to abandon college brain and allow the submersion of simpler times to overwhelm me (guilt feee). Even though I’ve never read this particular book before, I’ve read the story 100 times.
