Classic Murakami in shorter bites…loving it so far!

The first-person narrative is questionable at times...is the Woman in the Yellow Cardigan a ghost?? How does she know so much about Mayu (The Woman in the Purple Skirt)?

Somehow the narrator knows so much about the whereabouts and activities of the Woman in the Purple Skirt…including the things that woman does in the privacy of her own home. She is either omniscient, or an obsessive stalker

The voice of the narration is in the first-person view of the Woman in the Yellow Cardigan…how fetching!

I don't understand this odd custom of writing letters between Clementine Churchill and her husband Winston...despite staying in the same household. And yes, they actually get along rather well, as the letters are affectionate in tone.

Is this something that Britons do...or is it only done by members of their upper echelons?

Winston Churchill and his wife Clementine kept separate bedrooms. I wonder if this kind of sleeping arrangement is common among the rich and powerful... It seems like a lonely way to live for a married couple, especially if their marital relationship is quite harmonious
