Every moment exists in perpetuity regardless of whether it’s remembered. What has happened has happened; it occupies that moment in time forever. You blaze through moments all your life, forgetting things, and becoming ages older, until you forget everything.

I believe that all bodies are beautiful philosophically—it’s beautiful that our bodies work, and let us taste, and move, and do all that—but visually, I think you’d have to be nuts not to think that a lot of naked bodies are unsightly. I don’t know whether I am unsightly or not. Sometimes I look in the mirror and try really hard to see whether I am ugly, or pretty, or somewhere in between.

ive been in one relationship and ive somehow been on both sides of this conversation

feel detached from reality. Every step I take forward is deliberate. I feel like I am operating my body like it’s a vehicle. I am conscious of when I blink, and of when I inhale.
I look for my signal switch as I turn, before I remember that my body is not a car and does not have a blinker. I look around myself, hyperaware of the detail in the outdoors surrounding me.

so far really relatable

i kinda wanted to pick up a thriller before finishing rr but i saw this and ive been rlly enjoying memoirs recently so that + this case is so important to me because i think its the first time i realised people are shitty, based on the reactions around me

IM SO EXCITED

there are some characters who are so morally ambiguous you dont know what to say but then there are some who are outright vile and grace is one of then. i hope she d words a brutal death

sara is also annoying girl all these people are here for you and they are all dropping like flies its not ok

vanessa is so so annoying does she get an award for being insufferable

that sex scene was so awful

if this keeps up, i think im reading a 5 star book

if i wasnt vegetarian alr, this would be enough to convince me

We realize that our private shame is universal, that our worst heartbreaks have been felt and survived before, and that, as Lemn said, ‘our experiences are bridges not ravines’, however painful they are.

She also reminded me that, as much as love involves consciousness, part of it requires us to close our eyes and jump without a plan. And the fact that we took that leap, without knowing that everything would work out?
