Feeling that ToG hangover.

So much is happening. 😩 And there’s still two whole books left. So im sure I will be consumed with tears soon or shock. 🫣🫣🫣 I’m not sure which I’m hoping for.

6 books in and still not tiring of this story. So many interweaving characters.

I understand now why SJM has a loyal following. I didn’t with ACOTAR. I started seeing why in CC and now I fully understand it. The way she tells the story irked me at first but now I live for it. 😍

Im still captivated- though I really don’t like the witches.

I don’t even know what to think or feel right now. What is happening? I have no idea. But I’m hooked. Idk what team I’m suppose to be on, but Team Calaena is where my flag resides. SJM- confusing me again about who I’m suppose to love. 😆

I went In with the low expectations and I am pleasantly surprised with how much I’m enjoying it so far.

Here we go.

This book wasn’t in my radar until til my daughter found BookTok & this book made its way to her. Obviously had to read first and currently in intense conversations on whether she can read it. She votes yes, I vote no.

About the book- I’m enjoying the banter and find my self laughing often. It’s annoyingly tropey- but I feel like that’s part of the fun?

I love the interweaving of storylines. It keeps everything fresh and unable to stop. However, I need my boys to be freed and safe soon- I can’t handle much more.

My anxiety can not handle all that is this book. 🫣😩😍

Ughhhhh. My favorite two worlds colliding and idk what to do with myself. There’s so many storylines happening at once and it’s just …. Marvelous.

There’s a million things happening. And I’m not sure I’m ready for the ending.

My heart has been shattered into a million pieces & less than 200 pages to go. 💔

Here we go. Can it get me out of my Empyrean slump? Idk. Will I be able to wrap my brain around the world? Probably not. 😅

Honestly, while I can appreciate this storyline and am kind of intrigued- I just want to re read FW & IF. 😭

Less than 50 pages to go and I’m a blubbering mess. I love this story so much and just keep telling myself, there’s 3 more books… they can’t die. 😭

There aren’t enough pages left to appease me. Book two out of 5?!?! This is why I never start a series that isn’t complete.

There are no other words to describe it. I can’t stop reading.

I wasn’t sure if I’d be I to this one, but I can’t put it down. I love it so much and want a dragon of my own now.

It's like a bad p*rno I can't look away from. LOL

Seems like SJM has replaced the repetitiveness of the word m*te with the word f*ck and it’s almost as annoying.

Pausing the book to wait for my reading partner to catch up. I’m at chapter 61, she’s at chapter 3 😩.

May read a different book to keep me busy and not sulk while waiting. 😂

I’m not sure what it was expecting, but this wasn’t it. Which is neither a good or bad thing.

It’s giving me Olive Kitteridge feels. And I loved those books so much.

I love all of the characters except Olivia. She’s 41 and just seems too naive? I’d find her character less annoying if she was in her 20’s, maybe. She may grow in me in the last half of the book.

World War II stories suck me in almost immediately every time. It’s such a dark period of time but the stories of resilience make my heart sing for humanity.

This one is no different. Captivated by the story so for and enjoying the mingling of past vs present storytelling.

On chapter 12. Really really enjoying this one. I started it with zero knowledge of what it was about and therefore zero expectations. I’m here for the ride and thoroughly enjoying it so far.

It took awhile for the intrigue to set in. But it has finally took hold. I think I know who Robin is and my brain is feverishly trying to piece together all the clues.
