I couldn't remember if I'd read this before. And, so far, it is only faintly familiar.

Who knew that All About Eve had a basis in reality? I certainly didn't.

Sylvia Beach has just had to close Shakespeare & Co. and has hidden all the books, including Finnegan's Wake, which one of the Nazis wanted to buy. But she refused to.

Breslin ought to stay away from movie references. Now he is calling Shake Hands With the Devil a gangster movie. Maybe just because Jimmy Cagney was in it. But it was about Ireland and battle for independence.

He was talking about the movie Lady for a Day with May Robson and the remake with Lucille Ball and Bob Hope. Except they were not in the remake of Lady for a Day. That was Bette Davis (as the old lady) and Glenn Ford in Pocketful . Ball and Hope were in the remake of Little Miss Marker, called Sorrowful Jones.

Never let the truth get in the way of a good story. How about some fact checking.
