Also, I suspect that the chef at the restaurant she bumps into at the new hot restaurant where her friend wants to get the chef to write a book and Clementine bumps into him as she rushes off for an emergency…I suspect this story comes full circle and he is Iwan.

I like the descriptive language, she frames things to be positive and the promptly pivots to show it’s shadow/eeriness. For example, she’s describing El Truino as quaint….and then adds in the fog, vines, peeling paint, etc. so as a reader my imagination takes a hard pivot that’s surprising and refreshing, I like her style!
