Miller’s internal struggles are so profoundly unique, yet so incredibly ~human~ at its core that it makes me just feel pure melancholy. What a great journey this book has been so far, Miller is slowly becoming one of my favorite book characters.

GRRM himself recommended this, and holy cow, so far it’s captured a Blade Runner 2049 vibe but with more intertwined and ‘grand scheme’ style of politics. Pretty engaging! Quite a lot to take in, but once that moment ‘clicks’, the story just takes off. Am having quite a bit of fun with this novel so far while I’m rereading A Song of Ice and Fire on the side.

Started it an hour ago... will probably finish by tonight. I see where this book is heading, and I’m just waiting for the sad inevitable to happen. A simple and effective little book, Steinbeck continues to impress me.

Started this tonight and am heartbroken yet insanely impressed at how much this book is striking with me. I work at a day-care for adults with special needs and seeing this fictional story of a man recognizing how he was wronged and made fun of his entire life while living in oblivious bliss is heartbreaking. But it’s the harsh reality, and that’s exactly why I’m so sad while reading this. A gripping read!

I’m hooked!!

Extremely impressed so far!
