Wish we got to see some of Creggan’s training, but we’re finally getting somewhere with escaping the zoo and exploring the world. Getting a sense of spiritual power and knowledge residing in one being passing into another can give them strength to take on the unfamiliar, scary world, despite not remembering who they are or where they came from.

Part one did well to establish characters and lore, but good lord was it slow. Hopefully things will pick up in part two.

Not sure if it’s because of the copy I have, but it’s somewhat hard to read this with the lack of punctuation in the prose. Run on sentences are abundant, and some passages are too verbose. A few words could’ve been cut off here and there.

“Kunet and Shima go together. Broken things apart, but when together, beautiful thing.”
