A friend recommended this book so I'm listening to it on audiobook. We'll see if I like it or not.

It was raining and windy so overall a Dostoevsky kind of day. I read too much though and now my brain hurts.😵‍💫

I like the main character but she also can be pretty annoying. Hopefully later on Ishiguro gets more into her motivation and background.

I took too long of a break from this book so I had to watch chapter summaries to remember what happened. Even though I'm confused half the time I really enjoy the reading experience. I have the Harvard shelf of classics 1917 edition. Even though it's over 100 years old it's never been read before so the pages make a peeling sound whenever I turn them.😄

I've been reading a chapter of this every night before bed. So far nothing super intriguing has happened but it's kind of reminding me of The Promised Neverland.

I got sick and couldn't read so I'm making up for lost time.😁

I'm gonna cry this is so sad.😭

I'm glad someone finally gave the Murdstones a little of what they have coming to them.

What kind of jerk do you have to be to run off with a kids box! Everyone is just out to get this poor kid.

😨 Poor David. I guess I should've seen it coming but I didn't.

I switched to audio and since I always listen at 1.75x I should get through it faster. I'm starting to feel a little more invested in the story since David arrived at the boarding school.

I don't know why the only version of this book on Goodreads is Spanish.🤷‍♀️

I have a hard time following Dickens dialogue sometimes so I think I may switch to an audiobook. I never have any trouble with Jane Austen's writing so I guess I'm just not used to the lower class dialect.

While I'm enjoying this book, the writing style is a little difficult to read aloud.

My little sister Sadieanna says so far this book is four stars.😊

This is going to take a while to get through. We spend half the time giggling.🤭

I'm reading this with my 9 year old sister. The writing would be a little too challenging on her own but with help she's just fine. Hopefully she enjoys getting into historical fiction.

I want to kick the Murdstones out in their rears so bad!

I just found out my edition has only 729 pages so I'm farther in than I thought.
