I know from skimming ahead that Boo talks about her methods in the afterword, but I wish she'd described them earlier. I'm curious how much contact she had with Annawadi. How thoroughly was she allowed into these people's lives? Was she there day to day, observing, or were the stories she has written down told to her all at once and after the fact?

Maybe that's just the Anthro major in me.
