So different from what I was expecting based on the movie trailers but still so good. Really interesting, considering what we expect and accept from male and female characters. I'm really liking it.

I really like this book but I'm ready for things to start happening. I feel like the middle has gotten a little slow with Arin and Kestrel stuck in their feelings and misunderstandings happening a lot but not much else. The plot feels like it's stalled out a bit and I'm just ready for it to pick back up again. I hope it doesn't just ride out the rest of the book preparing for the next one.

I do not remember most of this from the first time I read this. I think it must be because I listened to the audio and was distracted or something. It's a shame because this is so good! So glad I'm rereading it!

I definitely have my suspicions about Black Knife. I wonder when we'll find out who it is?!

The set-up feels very Hunger Games-y. But also with X-Men powers or something? I'm not sure yet...

I'm so excited for this but I just can't focus right now.

I really want to keep reading and finish this book tonight but i don't think that would be the best idea. This book is so highly emotional I think adding exhaustion to the mix won't help me.

This book. Not sure if I'm going to make it through.
