Slowly making my way through this book. I'm just not that into it...

Starting to get a little bored with this. (Which seems to be happening often right now. Is something wrong with me or do I just have a shorter attention span in summer? Not sure) But honestly, not much has happened. It's just a peek into his life. Still liking the honesty of the voice, though. Also, knowing what happens, not entirely looking forward to the end.

I'm really enjoying this character's sense of humor and I like how authentic he feels but I don't actually like him. I also really like how the story is being told. Am looking forward to reading more! It's very interesting so far.

I'm really enjoying this except for the fact that Jackaby seems to be an exact copy of Benedict Cumberbatch's Sherlock who happens to solve paranormal crimes. I want to love it but I'm just slightly distracted by Jackaby's character. I have to keep reminding myself that it isn't Sherlock. Even though it is. So far it just feels like a Sherlock retelling where Sherlock sees paranormal creatures and John is a girl.

I want to finish this because it's so good but I'm so tired I can't focus on anything.

I'm loving this so far! Veronica Mars meets Scandal is 100% accurate!!!!

Oh boy. I'm definitely a fan of this.

Confession: I'm a little bored with this right now. It's taken me forever to get through these last 20 pages. I hope it picks up soon. Or is over soon. Either way. Something needs to happen.

Reading this out loud with my kids (9 and 6) and they're loving it! (I am too!) The voice is so much fun and just sarcastic enough for all of us to enjoy. I think there are going to be some emotional brother to brother moments later on as well.

I think I've actually been liking this one more than the first one but I'm kind of worried about what's about to happen. If what I think is coming happens, I don't think I'll like it. So let's just hope I'm wrong.

This is actually pretty cute so far.

I think I'm finally a little bit interested in what's going to happen in the rest of the book.

I kind of want to strangle Auden's dad.

I love how Dessen can write parents who aren't terrible people but are really shitty parents. Except it's not that they mean to be, it's just like they don't know how to be parents. As a parent myself, I both sympathize with them because who does know what they're doing and hate them because they don't even seem to be trying to be better or know that they should be. So many complicated characters in these books.

How can there only be 30 pages left?!?!?!?!
