I'm so bored.

So far the MCs eyes have been gray, light blue, dark blue, and now gray-green. I know eye color can change slightly but this feels like a bit much.

Holy cow, there are A LOT of characters to keep straight. Two chapters in and there's Sam, Craig, Matt, John, Jason, Derek, Juliana, Shawn, and Chris. Also, it says contemporary but it's actually set in the 60's or 70's.

"I let out a breath I hadn't knwn I was holding." I wonder if this is in here ironically.

"The joy you find as a teen, however frivolous and dumb, is pure, and meaningful. It doesn't matter that it might ferment and taste different when you're older. That's the whole point of being a teenager - not worrying about the future."

"And that was how my three friends and I came to be in possession of our very own boy bander." This book is so weird but also very addictive.

"And being with him [Matthew] made Frankie feel squashed into a box-a box where she was expected to be sweet and sensitive (but not oversensitive); a box for young and pretty girls who were not as bring or powerful as their boyfriends." Yet she loves him? I hope this all turns around in the end and is worth it.

I really don't understand how Frankie can think she's in love with Matthew. She barely knows him, he hides a ton of stuff from her, and he's constantly telling her how to act and feel. She calls herself a feminist but I don't see it at all. Ugh.

I'm kind of hating this writing style. I also hate Matthew, his friends, and Frankie when she's with them. I'm starting to think that maybe this author and I just don't mesh well.

I'm really torn on this one. I'll start to really like Frankie and then she'll say or do something so annoying that I start hating her. It is interesting although I'm still not sure where this story is going...
