1860-Lincoln's Charge by Bill Fawcett begins with a flawed premise that war was inevitable despite Lincoln not winning the election. Poppycock, skipped it entirely. Tappan King's A Patriot's Dream, a recollection of a United States after a Samuel Tilden presidency in 1876 was enjoyable speculation. Laura Resnick's We are Not Amused was indeed amusing. Two of three ain't bad, I suppose.
