The(interval) regimen can be so effective that it has the potential to provide all the exercise you need in only a few minutes a week. Those minutes ,though, would not be pleasant. (Tabata training ?)

A MET metabolic equivalent task is the amount of energy a person uses at rest. Two mets equals twice the energy used at rest. You need 500 met minutes. Ie 150 minutes of 3 met activity like brisk walking or half the amount of time on 6 met activity easy jogging.
