I was thinking about something this morning. When Katniss finally reveals what Snow told her before the Victory Tour to Peeta, he says something along the lines of “I have friends and family I care about too!” It’s almost as if Katniss didn’t think either 1) he would be targeted or 2) that he didn’t have family and friends. And I think it says a lot on how focused she is (cont. in comments)

Knowing how kind and gentle Beetee is to Katniss in Catching Fire/Mockingjay… I can only imagine his shattered heart and screams when Ampert died. No wonder he attaches to Katniss for Haymitch. It’s Round 2 for them both. And they will not fail this time. Notice how Haymitch destroying the arena is SO SIMILAR to how Katniss does in CF?
