Oh wow. I wouldn’t describe myself as a fan of romance and don’t get me wrong - this isn’t your usual romance - but there is something absolutely charming about how Zevin has forced me to be curious and compassionate about both Sadie and Sam. I dread to think where this ends up but I’m in in in. Heading for 5* here.

I’m fully behind Sam and Sadie. I’m hoping for the best but fearing the worst.

Have really struggled to get into the last two books I’ve picked up. The last one was not the book I thought it was and turned out to be shit. The other (Remains of the Day) - I had high hopes for but I just couldn’t get into it. I will try again in the new year! Here’s to hoping this is a good book to start with in 2024! 📚

Yes, yes, yes. Everything is going to shit - just as we like it. Beautiful exploration of ideas surrounding human nature and our individual approaches to chaos and disorder. Love, love, love.

We’re back in Triffids territory. The first(?) true dystopian text of the year. I know it isn’t going to follow carnivorous plants but I’m already vibing with the concept. First chapter is absolutely phenomenal - like a punch to the gut.
