Picking up a bit. Absolutely love when the Sith meditation sphere makes an appearance!

This book’s value lies in all the promise of what’s to come. It’s not bad, but I know I like it more because I’m looking forward to what’s next, which needs to also be a testament to this book. Almost done!

It will be interesting to see how this book sets up the next, or the series in general.

100 pages in and I’m so glad I picked this series back up. There’s already been a part where the prequels meet the OT meet the FOTJ. A truly awesome moment. EU forever.

So yesterday I ordered the first 5 books in the Fate of the Jedi series. It's on. Again.

To whomever posted their progress of one of the Fate of the Jedi books--thank you. It has been a wonderful trip down memory lane re-familiarizing myself with those books. I definitely need to go back and re-read what I started, and finish that series!

The Last Penny was amazing. Cool dystopian tale. Digital currency via barcodes, not far from where we find ourselves now… She had such a badass quote to intro this one: “the worst thing about writing dystopian fiction is that you think you’re going further than any government would, and then you realize you haven’t even scratched the surface of reality…”

The Man Who Did Nothing was good! Very descriptive.

Finished the title story. Enjoyed it, much like the others, it was a fun little short story. I keep reading anthologies when I like a full-novel story. But this is good.

I just finished Open Prison and was floored—one of the best short stories I’ve ever read. And it wasn’t anything crazy, just well written and a recycled idea with cool new concepts.

The second was better than the first. I’m still not overly impressed—yet.

Finished the first story. I’ve heard it’s the worst, hoping that’s true. I have much faith in Karen.

I still don’t quite know how I feel about this one. I’m enjoying jt, but it hasn’t blown me away, much like the others in this 4 book series. I think part of it is because my old republic knowledge is sparse, so I can’t picture much. Using my old republic encyclopedia for reference.
