Compendium Of The Emerald Tablets

Rate this book
The history of the Emerald Tablets is strange and beyond the belief of modern scientists. Their antiquity is stupendous, dating back some 36,000 years B.C. The author is Thoth, an Atlantean Priest-King who founded a colony in ancient Egypt, wrote the Emerald Tablets in his native Atlantean language which was translated by many famous scholars. This compendium of the Emerald Tablets gives unique insight and understanding of the content. Billy Carson breaks down each tablet and decodes all of the esoteric messages, metaphysics, technology and quantum mechanics for the reader. Because of the tablet's reference to the Egypt and sacred geometry they became a priority reference for those studying the Flower of Life and the Merkaba meditation. Foreword by Jimmy Church. 5 star reviews by Erich Von Daniken, Dr Tara Swart, George Noory, Jason Martell and many more!

This is the first book I have ever read from start to finish. The reason why is because it’s just too interesting to for me to not want to know more. This book has changed my life and has revealed some life changing secrets. If you want to know what those secrets are, you MUST READ IT. The average person does not know and cannot tell you what you can learn from this book. I am so grateful Billy Carson wrote this book.

This is a great read for all types of readers interested in the Emerald Tablets. It gives great references throughout the book for anyone to understand the possibilities of how or what the emerald tablets is about. It also give the fourteenth and fifteenth tablets. Billy Carson is also a wonderful person considering his achievements. I didn't give it five stars due to being a little to inclusive of assumptions without proof on the Annunaki being the only possibility of influence in relation to there is no consideration to other aliens being of earths history. Another thing was that it didn't reference the teachings of the Emerald Tablets on how to interpret the Emerald Tablets and the history of Thoth like using Shamanic teachings for more empowerment on what the Emerald Tablets were giving one answers to.

Honestly very disappointed in the book. It’s not a good value considering the price and the amount of content in it. It feels a bit like a rip off of someone else’s translations of the tablet with very little commentary otherwise. Many of the pictures in the book are hard to see. There are more typos in this book than I have ever seen before in a book. And lastly there is no kindle version. After reading it I’m left with the impression that this book was a grift to make a lot of money using someone else’s material. I think Billy Carson knows a lot of great information and I will continue watching him online, but this book makes me realize that he’s also out to make a quick dollar. $30 for a book that has such little content is unacceptable.

Great breakdown of the annunaki , ancient civilizations and human origins. Also connects the similarities between the bible, emerald tablets and other ancient texts. Real human origin history right here.

The book it self is an interpretation of Thoth's tablets I’d suggest reading the original translations first by Doreal. Billy Carson's book provided his own perspective on the tablets including a historical overveiw of Thoth and the tablets. I recommend this book along with Doreal's translation and interpretation.

Billy Carson’s book, The Emerald Tablets of Thoth, offers a compelling mix of ancient wisdom and modern metaphysics, yet it suffers from several critical flaws, especially in its treatment of biblical texts and historical claims. Below is a rebuttal to some of the key arguments presented in his work.

Misinterpretation and Twisting of Biblical Passages
Carson attempts to draw parallels between the teachings of Thoth and biblical passages, yet his approach to biblical exegesis is fundamentally flawed. Billy asserts that the teachings of Thoth are remarkably similar to the teachings of Jesus, but he overlooks key contextual differences. For instance, on page 50 Carson cites Thoth's statement:

"He who in courage would dare the dark realms, let him be purified first by long fasting. Lie in the sarcophagus of stone in my chamber. Then reveal I to him the great mysteries."

Carson links this to Luke 23:43 (Jesus' words to the thief on the cross, "Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise"). However, the connection between these two quotes is tenuous at best. Thoth's emphasis on purification through fasting and the sarcophagus has no direct parallel to the concept of salvation in Jesus' words, which is about forgiveness and redemption, not ritual purification through fasting. Carson is reading far too much into these texts without considering the time, context, and cultural backgrounds of each.

The Use of Reincarnation and Malachi’s Prophecy
One of Carson's main points is the idea that the Bible, especially through passages like Malachi 4:5-6, supports the concept of reincarnation. Carson references the prophecy of Elijah's return, but fails to address the true meaning of these verses. In Malachi 4:5-6, God speaks of sending Elijah before the "great and dreadful day of the Lord" to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children. Carson argues this indicates reincarnation, but the Bible does not suggest the literal reincarnation of Elijah. Instead, Matthew 11:14 clarifies that John the Baptist fulfills this prophecy as the "Elijah who was to come," further emphasizing that John is Elijah in a spiritual sense, not a literal reincarnation.

This misinterpretation continues when Carson suggests that reincarnation is a principle universally accepted in scripture, yet it’s important to note that reincarnation is not a central or widely accepted doctrine in Christianity. John 3:3 and 1 Corinthians 5:1 emphasize new birth and spiritual resurrection, not the cyclical rebirth of souls. Carson is overly focused on trying to fit a reincarnation narrative into the Bible, a concept that lacks clear biblical support.

Alchemical Texts and the Emerald Tablets: Conflating Sources
One of the more problematic aspects of Carson's argument is his assertion that the Emerald Tablets of Thoth are the original source from which the writers of the Bible borrowed much of their content. Carson suggests that many of the teachings attributed to Jesus were actually taken from Thoth, whose wisdom supposedly predates biblical texts by tens of thousands of years (36,000 years, according to Carson).

However, this assertion is deeply flawed for several reasons:

The Emerald Tablets Have Yet to Be Found: Carson's central claim that the Emerald Tablets of Thoth are ancient and preserved is speculative at best. As of today, no verified historical evidence exists to confirm the existence of these tablets. Many believe that the text was actually written much later than Carson claims, possibly drawing on a combination of myth, legend, and alchemical writings. Carson conflates these supposed "ancient" teachings with alchemical texts that arose much later, creating a distorted historical narrative. This should raise serious questions about the accuracy of his sources.

Misleading Comparisons with Biblical Texts: Carson presents side-by-side comparisons between the Bible and the Emerald Tablets, but these often feel more like cherry-picking of phrases that loosely resemble one another, rather than rigorous analysis. For instance, he points to Matthew 24:7, a verse that mentions nations rising against nations, and compares it to a similar phrase in the Emerald Tablets. While Carson highlights a similarity in wording, he neglects the broader context of these statements. Matthew 24:7 speaks to the end times, with natural disasters and social upheaval, while the quote from Thoth lacks the same apocalyptic context. To draw parallels in this way ignores the uniqueness of each text.

The Misuse of Pyramid Symbolism: Carson's attempt to link the pyramids to the spiritual teachings of the Emerald Tablets falls into the realm of conjecture. He claims that the word "pyramid" comes from Greek terms meaning "fire in the middle," which is inaccurate. The word "pyramid" comes from the Greek word pyramis, which likely referred to the shape of the structure, not its internal energy. Carson’s discussion of pyramids as "stargates" for pharaohs after death is similarly unsubstantiated, with no archaeological or historical evidence to support this theory. The pyramids were tombs, not portals for spiritual ascension.

Etymology and Symbolism: Regarding the etymology of the word "pyramid," Carson wrongly asserts that it means "fire in the middle" because he links it to supposed "bio-cosmic energy." This interpretation is not supported by linguistics or Egyptology. The actual Egyptian word for pyramid was per-em-hru, meaning "house of eternity," a far cry from Carson’s "fire" explanation. Relying on a misinterpretation of etymology to support metaphysical claims only weakens the argument, making it an unreliable foundation for any theological or philosophical discourse.

Scientific Knowledge and the Catholic Church
Carson's claim that the Church slowed the advancement of scientific knowledge (page 2) is another area where he misrepresents history. He points to the case of Giordano Bruno, who was executed by the Catholic Church. However, Bruno was not executed for his heliocentric views but for heretical doctrines such as his belief in pantheism and his challenge to the core tenets of Christianity. His death was a consequence of his theological views, not his scientific theories.

Conclusion
Billy Carson's book, while intriguing for those interested in mystical philosophies, misrepresents the relationship between the Emerald Tablets and the Bible. His attempts to draw parallels between Thoth and Jesus are built on shaky ground, lacking solid exegesis and context. The claims about reincarnation and alchemical influences on biblical texts overlook established Christian doctrine and historical scholarship. Furthermore, Carson's conflation of the Emerald Tablets with other alchemical and mystical writings, as well as his misuse of etymology, creates a distorted view of ancient wisdom that lacks substantial historical or linguistic backing. Without concrete evidence of the Emerald Tablets and a more thoughtful engagement with biblical texts, Carson’s conclusions remain speculative and unconvincing.

“Man is a star bound to a body”

I want to believe we were created by ancient aliens, of which every religious text is descended from accounts of their doings. This is not to say I don’t believe in god; god is light and frequency and is of a different plane of existence. I am just having a hard time trusting a translation of a text that is thousands of years old written in a language that no one knows how to speak. Also it’s not clear whether Billy is insinuating whether these tablets made of emerald actually exist or if this is supposed to be a translation of a text like those of ancient Sumer. I need to know more about all the wisdom that Thoth supposedly refers to, like the fire within us for instance. What is this wisdom Thoth would have us seek? Building the light within us to fight off darkness? To practice astral projection? I feel like a lot of the translation is very repetitive and Billy doesn’t dive into a lot of the specifics, but perhaps more is covered in other books.

“Deep in the silence, first ye must linger until at last ye are free from desire, free from the longing to speak in silence. Conquer by silence, the bondage of words”

I love this quote. In order to find light within us we have to be able to sit with ourselves in silence. I don’t think there is anything that seems more simple and yet complicated. I think we tend to equate meditation with shutting off our brain but I don’t think that’s possible. What we need to do is release the bondage that our thoughts have over us, so that we can eventually sit with ourselves and not get lost by the words that pop up in our mind. This I know from experience takes practice.

Is fasting the key to astral projection? I don’t think I’ve ever been able to do that but I wonder if it really is something that can be learned. But it is repeatedly mentioned that this is what is needed to make contact with Thoth at the halls of Amenti. Free from desires. It is a high standard that I think can be very self destructive if we don’t proceed with caution or the right mindset.

“Frequency and vibration have a direct effect on our reality and can even alter current and future events.”

“The future is not fixed, but it can be read”

We have free will, but darkness often has a stranglehold on us. There is a lot like this that resonates with me in this book, but we are not told much of the “wisdom” that is needed except a few phrases to speak. Perhaps enough vibration is all that it takes to strengthen our internal fire.

I wish Billy included more of his thoughts and more instances where the bible mimics the emerald tablets, but besides some inconsistencies in format I was still intrigued throughout, anyway, four stars.

I have to be honest. The information is good information and very interesting. However, the constant ad placements (Yes, some how Billy Carson has found a way to sell you on his other projects within the writting, not just at the end) constantly took me out of the information. I will, however, say I learned a lot of things I did not know, and he does a good job at providing proof of where he learned his information. You can just look it up and verify the claims. Most of the writing wasn't his own. It was the writtings of the emerald tablets and his interpretation of it which is fair but I wanted a little more of what his thoughts were and I feel like that could have made for a much more interesting read.

This book is filled with fascinating and well-researched information. Though some of the concepts can be quite complex, Billy Carson does an excellent job of breaking these ideas down into layman's terms. For those interested in Hermetic philosophy, ancient mysteries, or metaphysical topics, this book is a compelling read—though it’s best approached with an open mind.

While he provides a solid foundation, it’s always a good idea to complement his insights with one's own research, as the subject matter often invites deeper exploration and personal interpretation. If you enjoy diving into esoteric knowledge and connecting ancient wisdom to modern life, this book is a great starting point.

If you are interested in an alternate view of history and/or ancient texts written well before the Bible (around 36,000 years old), this is a great read. Billy Carson is one of the top esoteric teachers of our time and adds some good notes along the way. I love the way this reads. It's like a poem and flows beautifully. Thoth gives a beautiful view of what this is all really about and what happens to us after we leave. So much has been hidden from us and it is our responsibility to find it and learn for ourselves. Must read!

I have to agree with a few honest reviewsof this work. I was excited after seeing Carsons work online, but the book definitely isnt scholarship, its kind of a haphazard commentary of a few snip its of the tablets. Needing a proper editor and cohesion, I will read the tablets myself. If that's was the aim, getting people to do the reading of the source material, then he succeeded. The cover art is nice.

Billy Carson understands little of the teachings and meanings of the great Hermes (Thoth) who gave away his wisdom for free. To ever charge anything for repeating any of it is a great sin and, indeed, insult to its original author. Carson should read the Emerald Tablets and heed Thoth's warning given therein so very clearly.

It’s hard to describe this book except you need an open mind. I believe many thoughts will be stored away only to be opened when the time is right. Or not? It’s holy in ways, insightful and thought provoking. An open mind helps . . .
