book is beginning to drag just a bit, but I'm fully willing to admit I've not always been as attentive as I should (which is why I prefer paper copies). But which came first, the chicken (book slowing down/losing my attention) or the egg? (I'm not fully immersed so I'm losing interest

Han mentioned using the medals he was going to win as “coasters”…

Such a fun listen, I really do appreciate Twain's writing style as well. They couldn't have picked a better narrator!

I don’t think these guys can write child dialogue real well, but outside of that it’s good so far! Dathomir!

Bazel is clearly meant to be Jedi Hulk. Cool to see the Star Wars take on astral projection and lucid dreaming. I think this has been done really well.

Well, FloatVans were mentioned, as well as bomb bons…

Other than that, it’s been dope! Jaden Korr made another appearance!

I just realized on my walk to the bathroom that the Star Wars sequels really are such a beautiful mess. The story is absolute shit, but some of the ideas within those horrid stories are amazing--and pulled straight from "Legends". I'd love to see what a hardcore EU fan with some movie knowledge could have done with those Sequels...

This book is wild.

I mean there's been hot chocolate mentioned, and then Jaden Korr made an appearance. I've never been so disappointed and hyped in one session.

Seriously though...Jaden Korr!

Yeah, Denning is the best author in this series so far. I’m enjoying this one.

I know it’s one chapter, but Denning seems to be the strongest author of the three in this series. Nice details to set the scene. I’m looking forward to this one.

The dialogue is so corny at times in this book. “I’ll remember that when I’ve got a rancor nibbling at my ankle. Oh wait, I’ve got Javis Tyrr. Where’s he at?”

This book has come off like a writer who doesn’t know much about Star Wars writing a Star Wars book. Everyone loved Dark Disciple and I just thought it was good, not great. I’m scared that she’s written two more books in this series.

Sometimes, these EU authors beat you over the head with references to the canon material, ie. Han talking about how Tauntauns smell horrible and other straight references like that. Also, author used the word goose. Find another word. We have refreshers, and turbolifts, we don’t need the word goose. Be more creative. I never like the real world words unless necessary. Outside of these things, it’s been good!
