I'm going to DNF this in audiobook form. I'm having a hard time listening to the reader because his voice is so raspy, like he needs to clear his throat. It makes it hard to focus while I'm driving. I might circle around and get this one in print format later.

Are you looking to add more diversity to your read? LGBTQ+, fat positive, respect for those with disabilities? Then don't sleep on http://www.pearlsong.com/

I've been buying loads of their books lately (available on all platforms) and love how different they are from the mainstream stuff out there. I know the website looks date; the publisher is in the process of switching to WordPress. But they are WORTH YOUR MONEY

This book is hard, but in moments of clarity, it reads like shots fired on Twitter.

I understand that older books often have an introduction, but this one is 75 pages, covering a brief bio of Wollstonecraft, the political context, how feminists reacted, and the birthday of the book some odd years later. There's also a huge section in which the intro goes over the whole argument of the text. Why?? Just let me read the book!

Happy publishing day to Leesa Cross-Smith! This Close to Okay is her second novel. I'll be reading and reviewing it soon, and I can't wait -- I've read all of her books.

I do believe the only reason anyone read Memoirs of Emma Courtney was for a college class entitled Something Something Women Something Regency Something.

I'm reading a couple of books right now that have just seething with the characters. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be so angry and like a book, but I suppose any author gets a strong emotional reaction out of a read is a good writer.

I've been reading a number of books by Australians or set in Australia in the last few months. Do you have a favorite Aussie book?

Any synopsis that uses the term "bad boy" is not for me. I mean, unless it's early- to mid-90s Corey Feldman, we're a no-go.

Having a nice day at the library! We miss the patrons but have to remain safe. It's a conundrum in my heart, to be honest.
