All these ads for Wild are making me grumpy. That movie isn't coming within 100 miles of me.

I bought the new Nook GlowLight. So far, I love it! I put PDFs and epubs on there. It's basically a jump drive, so that's nice. I got tired of my Nook Color being more like a tablet than an e-reader.

I've been so busy lately that we haven't been doing "bedtime stories."

So, John Grisham is totally disgusting:, because, you know, child porn doesn't hurt anyone.

I share an essay about Generation X at The Next Best Book Club blog that compares the generation's characteristics to the lives of the characters in List. It was a lot of fun to compose!

I'm starting to like this book more. The grammar/punctuation guide in the back is written in layman's terms, something students can get behind and use on their own. I'm trying out something new: pointing students to the guide and saying, "YOU figure it out, then come see me!" I also like the full chapter MLA guide. The chapters of different genres follow a sample student's progress writing a paper in the genre. Nice!

I am looking for people to review Steve Tomasula's new collection, Once Human. You would need to have a place to publish it. Please let me know if you are interested!
