Ok, at first I was honestly bored. Now it's definitely fun and creative! It's going in a very unexpected direction and it's very enjoyable!!

Wasn't expecting this to be bittersweet and so real, but I do enjoy it a lot so far !!

The pace is so gripping !!
I'd say it reads maybe a tiiiny bit younger than what I've previously read by Silvia Moreno-Garcia, but that could just be because of Domingo ? And it's not a negative comment at all

So far, so GOOD
Love the different types of vampires, as well as the atmosphere!! It's both dark and almost goofy, really unexpected but very enjoyable. I'm also liking Atl and Domingo's relationship

Exactly the switch of pace I needed, and I love the subtle change of atmosphere. I feel much closer to the story and the characters now, I deeply care and worry about them. Catherine also feels more real

I think things moved too fast between them and now, even though they're cute af, it's a bit flat :{
It also changed too radically Fiadh's personality and I miss her former self and the tension she brought. Her and Clara are a bit one note now...

Still intriguing and I'm rather invested, but I can feel I'm not 100% there, it's good but a little something is still lacking for me to be spooked or engrossed in the mystery. It's because of how apathetic the narrative is, and it definitely suits Ines, but I do hope things are gonna change a bit ?

I like the balance between apathetic and uncanny
It feels like a good take on the classic creepy school, looking forward to exploring its mysteries but so far this introduction has been good !!

I’m very puzzled about this, I don’t dislike it, but I can’t say I fully enjoy it ?
Sometimes the descriptions of academic and archives related stuff makes me cringe and I don’t feel like the intended public, but then I’ll love it and go like « yeeessss the nerdy stuffff, yessss give me all the curating details what brand of polypropylene sleeves are you usinnngg !! »

Still good ! I already prefer it to the original material. I enjoy the characterisation, Lupe being my fav, and I appreciate Montgomery's ambiguity, as well as Ramona who's already such an important figure but we've barely seen her and mostly heard from her.

yo this is SO FUN ??? Why isn’t anyone talking about it ? Like the uniqueness and creativity in the writing is so remarquable, fun and innovative, I can’t rush it because I reread some sentences to savour the playfulness of it. The atmosphere is deliciously creepy yet it sucked me in in barely a paragraph, it’s creepy, uncomfortable but the mystery is so thick I can’t let it go, I need to wander further in
