This book was my lesbian awakening....

I feel like I’ve been punched in the gut by this book. It’s hard to push me to tears but I nearly cried after this chapter and that’s a feat on it own.

It’s better…not by much though. I hate the magical negro trope so much it’s not even funny.

Of course, as always, a man’s chapters ruin everything and spoil the whole plot. The fact that the main character can’t piece together an obvious plot thread behooves me. Even without Ryan’s chapters I would have known the burner was his. Who knows maybe I’m wrong and the book is fooling me. But if I’m not…well this book just got stupid for me

My feelings about this books are improving. Still have no clue why Ryan’s chapters are relevant though…he’s just….some dude

I’m hoping Ryan’s chapters have some sort of meaning, because this book as been a slog and just as it gets interesting I’m hit with his chapter.

It wasn’t bad necessarily but I’m definitely not feeling it either. Hoping it turns to be something worthwhile or I’m gonna be 2/2 in British authors that annoy me.

I love when women kill bad men…this book is awesome

I love this so much. I can see why people may not like this book and obviously my opinion can change but I love character driven stories about toxic lesbians doing bad things so I will not complain

Maria is the definition of a man hating raging lesbian. I cannot wait until she kills this man because it just seems like something she would do for the hell of it. Though if she doesn't I will be very sad.

The pet name being 'little one' is just so weird and gross. I can forgive it (kinda) if its only once and awhile but its almost every damn chapter like ugh. There were so many better options to right on the page, he calls her his "little Persephone" all he has to do is give her the nickname Kore and it would have been perfect as a tie to the Greek retelling them. But no...im stuck with little one and I wanna vom.
