Scared doesn’t begin to describe how I feel about this book…

Once again, I must say, this is some of the most closeted gay I have ever read in my life. The way the mfc describes the woman she’s obsessed with has such queer undertones that it’s not even and undertone it’s the full spectrum. That paired with the obvious manipulations by the other woman and shady things happening…chefs kiss

I know that this book isn’t meant to be gay…but damn I’m 50 pages in and already questioning the the main character’s sexuality. Anywho I’m having a blast with this and can’t wait to continue

Well…I asked for aliens, I got aliens and damn they didn’t disappoint

So far so good, the politics of this world are really interesting as well as the alien ship. I’m interested to see what the aliens look like and what their intent is. I still don’t have a really good read on this book yet and probably won’t until half way or the end. Either way I’m having a good time thought I do hope it picks up pace a little bit.

It’s to early to say whether or not I’ll love this book, but I like the formatting of it so far and it’s peaking my interest. It’s very much reminding me of To Sleep In A Sea of Stars

I haven’t read many short story collections but this is definitely gonna remain a favorite of mine.

Possibly one of my favorite horror shorts of all time. For a moment I thought the ending was gonna suck but I was pleasantly surprised. I’ll talk more about it later in my final review of Koji does a wonderful job of writing incel like men and their thought processes. Loved the third short story! 5/5 stars

Just got through the first two short stories in this collection and I’ve got to say that Koji Suzuki has got to be one of my favorite horror authors. I love the way he writes characters, they all feel so human neither leaning towards expressly good or comically evil. So far I’m enjoying this book. It’s not as good as Edge in my opinion but delicious nonetheless.

This book is definitely growing on me. Still the same issues as before but now the the core of the plot is coming along I’m finding myself less bored. Will say that you have to be in a very specific mood to read this or in a reading slump or this might be a bit of a slog. So far my rating is between a 2 and 3 which I’ll explain once is finish

This is a weird book for me. On one hand I like it, the story is fast paced and engaging, even though I think some of the world building is a bit clunky/overlooked it’s not horrible enough to warrant grief. One the other hand it’s almost to easy to read? Idk how to describe it but the writing is so simplistic (not in a bad way) that if you’re paying attention it can be grating. I’m interested in read the end.

I’m shocked I like this book so much. I have a lot of beef with dark romance…like a lot (don’t get me started) but while this book does have its issues I think it does a good job so doing what most other dark romances SHOULD do. It talks about kink and the darker more obsessive side of romance in a healthier way. I think it’s psychological commentary needs work but hey…beggars can be choosers.

Definitely not a romantasy. Its commentary is phenomenal but it will make you cringe. Don’t go into this with the mindset that it’s romanstasy…you will not be happy…anyways every good so far 4 stars

Half way through and wow! I think this is the best book written by this author so far. I like tender is the flesh but it had its issues. I love the queerness mixed with horror and religion. I also like how the main character is notably not a good person. So far 5 stars from me
