You know how they say a picture is worth a thousand words? Well, I wish this book had actual pictures.

Not bad at all. I wish there were more pictures.

I think I'm starting to understand the people who are annoyed at this Rupi Kaur style of poetry... Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Kaur, but it's hard to accomplish what she does in such few words... And this volume just doesn't speak anything, it's confusing and somewhat boring.

By the end of it I was so invested in that game!! This would make an amazing animated TV series!

Oh, I am so worried and I care so much about this book and the characters...

It's really really nice, but sometimes I get so sad and angry when I learn how society used to treat women and how hard it was for these women to be amazing because of that... It literally makes me sick!!!

I know I just started it, but the Emma in this book is kinda annoying, but not in the cute way Austen's Emma was annoying 🙈. Hopefully things will get better.

I really like this and I think it would work so great as an animated TV series. But it does take me a long time to finish it - maybe I'm already separating it into episodes in my head.

Only a couple of chapters in and it's nice, but I know everyone raves about it and I am trying so hard not to have huge expectations 🙈🙈🙈. But I am intrigued so far.

I am really curious about this book now and what happened. So far it is fun and mysterious and quite different from the usual middle grade books I read.

Pure fun.

I couldn't really read much because I have a cold and once all I do is sleep pretty much. But from the tiny bits that I read, I have a feeling this is going to be a bit different than the series Killing Eve, although I hope Villanelle will be just as vibrant and fun.

(2) Do I wish that scene wouldn't exist and instead have these dumb characters communicate instead? Of course!!

Now I'm gonna continue reading and see how everything is treated and see if anything changes and how the author deals with the aftermath...

Finally got to the controversial scene; look, it was weird and somehow I think the show made it worse. There are complaints I have regarding Daphne, but I also don't think things are as black and white as to call that scene post marital rape - if we take into account her lack of knowledge about sex (although she kept reminding us she has four brothers and knows a lot expect for that) and the lack of communication (1)

I'm surprisingly having a hard time with this book...
