Oh, a slow burning thriller mystery on an island and there's a storm and a wedding! Looooving it so far!

1) this book is a follow up (kinda) to his previous book Reasons to Stay Alive but I will read them the other way around (whoops)
2) the title in Romanian is not translated properly (just fyi)
3) love how the author writes, very short and on point, very structured, me likey

I need a break from it. It's an easy quick read, but the story breaks you and tires you 🙈

DNF - review coming soon, but... I never imagined myself DNFing a poetry book but I cannot really think of this as poetry. I like the kind of simple modern Rupi Kaur kind of poetry, but this one is overly simplistic, no deep meaning, what it says it's what is it and it is the most simplistic and boring poetry ever. It sounds mean, but... I am not sure hot to put this nicely.

It's definitely long, covers many years and a lot of themes too. But the author does a great job moving from theme to theme, and characters. Also, I just found out that a miniseries of this book might become reality and I think TV miniseries is a great medium for this book!

This book is long! Don't get me wrong, I like big books (although they are intimidating) and Americanah is really nice - some parts of it are amazing, yet I'd like it not too feel like such a long book 🤷‍♀️

I... I have to admit that I wanted an actual list to inspire me what stuff to do rather than pick up the phone. The book tries to be deeper that the shallow thing I imagined, although it ends up being more like a way to share ideas and concepts from other books the author read... Kinda like that app deepstash or blinkist...

I am intrigued but it does feel like the first half was dragged on and on and now things are suddenly moving at the speed of light!

I am having a hard time finding the target audience for this book. I mean, it could be a fun read for a preteen witch I guess.

I am tremendously enjoying it. Maybe more than the first time. I practice hygge since forever and it was always unconsciously, I did not know it was hygge, but I was living the concept anyway.

This is different from the usual crime novels I go for, but it is so much fun and would definitely love to watch it on TV too!
