the cataloguing of ships was dreadful

the first few pages were super confusing but the rest made sense surprisingly. i don’t have much of an opinion yet obviously but i am curious as to how much the gods are going to intervene. i also need to learn my greek gods because they get mentioned so often. i just know zeus is a man hoe.

i read the BEST chapter in the book today, my lord. i got chills.

this book is so sad but so powerful. it’s giving the same political undertones as the jungle in a way in terms of discussing workers rights, but written so much better

only read a few pages today and then passed out. i’m going to definitely read a lot more this weekend though

i haven’t gotten to read today at all and it’s making a girl go MAD

i was falling asleep while reading the last few pages tonight but still getting even better. i also found out that mrs. teczon read this book and really liked it, so that’s cool to know

The book is getting a lot more interesting now, and I’m actually looking forward to finishing it

The ending of this better be good because the pace is definitely quite slow

Really sad to hear just how long lasting our effects on the planet are. Especially when the author makes you empathize with the many coal miners who have been crippled by our unjust system so they take their anger out at climate activists (or anything related to environmental regulation). I wonder how you bridge the gap between those who work the land for their jobs and those who want to protect it from further harm

Really thought provoking. The idea that nature both holds us together and yet tears us apart is so interesting

The prelude was really good so I hope the book lives up to what I think it will be

I’m sort of learning while reading this, but it more so makes me just want to die.

I have concluded that John Steinbeck LOVES to talk about nature. Maybe I’m impatient right now, but I would prefer if he just got more to the point sometimes. The font size doesn’t help either.

This was mentioned in the book I read today so I thought that I might as well finally read it. The setting is really detailed, and I wonder what kind of book this is going to be still. It’s intimidating how long this book is compared to the books I’ve been reading recently too, but hopefully I’ll manage

I’ve been binge reading this all day and it’s SO GOOD. It’s the most wholesome book I’ve ever read, and it makes me so happy. I’m actually sad that it’s about to end, but I plan on reading happier books like this. It’s super good for my mental health and feels so refreshing

This is probably going to be my most dreaded read of 2022. I’m going to give it a rating based on the SAT score I end up getting after using it, which I think is fair enough.

This books is actually super cute and refreshing. I’d like to describe it as cool morning air, or fresh dew. At least that’s what I think of while I’m reading it. The character development is also really endearing.

I’m getting more interested in the plot now, but I still think the Yorkshire accents in this book are funny. Having to read like a British person makes me feel like I need braces again. I left off on a cliffhanger so I’m excited to see what’s going to happen today

I got this book as I was running out of Barnes and Noble because it looks pretty, but it actually is pretty good! I’ve only read a chapter, but I’m excited to read the rest. The main character is a BRAT though

I’ve been so excited to read this book for so long, but I wasn’t expecting to read it in Spanish. It makes it feel all the more rewarding when I finish reading though. I love the main character’s dark humor, and I hope I love the other protagonist as well. Perhaps I’ll read more today, but it’s pretty exhausting to read lately
