Not so sure about this book, some parts are really not good, but I have to finish it

Hmmm don’t like the amount of hate that Hadrian’s getting in this book

Went to the introduction week in Leiden, which was a looooong train ride so I could read :)

Had a great time in Turin again! And this book is amazing :)

Also, apparently Romans brought polar bears and seals to the arena, which is pretty impressive. But what is a poor seal going to do there??!!

Reading this book a bit before visiting Hadrian’s Wall! Just left York where Constantine the Great was proclaimed emperor. I must also not forget to write a review of my previous book

I HAVE to finish this book before I go to the UK

My previous book was so sad that it’s nice to read about Rome in its golden age for a change

I should travel back in time and save Constantinople :(

This book is wonderfully written! I can already feel a five-star review coming along. Also, I got a new Roman coin and it’s beautiful! I am truly enjoying the holidays now that I have passed the thesis :)

Started this nice book on my way back to the Netherlands. There were four babies on my flight so I didn’t read as much as I had hoped

Managed to read a lot today during my travels to Mexico. Hope to finish it soon! Also, rip Valentinian I who died from a stroke while angrily yelling and swearing at some barbarian envoys. What a way to go!

Reaaally tempted to buy an ancient coin of one of these emperors. You can get a nice one for around €10!

Ahh, it feels good to go from romance back to Romans again. Tip: put on some armour when you go into battle
