I'll admit, I've kinda been putting this off, partially because the cover art is a bit embarrassing but also because while I've loved every book in the series for the dumb fun that it is, the last couple have been much more hmmm... grim, yeah, that's the word, but this one seems more akin to the first couple books, just Owen facing down evil incarnate with superior firepower and a good dose of snark.

I promised myself I wouldn't start this until I finished In the Shadow of Lightning, it was a struggle but I managed to hold out, and now I'm finally reading what I've wanted to be reading for 3 weeks...

Ok, it's not "question Goodreads' ethics/competence" day, but after my previous post I was curious if the recommendation algorithm was still as bad as I remembered so I glanced at it and was stunned to see that it was recommending me books based on books (Midnight Library, Midnight in Austenland) I never added to any of my shelves (I just checked to make sure), but it claimed I had... ummm... WTW?!?!
