Backwards quotation marks, incorrect punctuation around almost all of the dialogue (almost all because it is sometimes correct). The author uses different punctuation for the EXACT SAME WORDS. Verbs of saying use a comma inside the quotation mark. This includes a list of other words (offer, ask, murmur, etc). Also, commas everywhere that make sentences grammatically incorrect.
