Enjoying this book for the 2nd time. It's my book club book this month and I'm reviewing. Wanted to see if it was a 5 star book once again.

Such a cute story from the eyes of a dog! I am glad I have a reason to re-read.

Finally a break in life for her.

This is a page turner. The way the story is building is almost unbearable.

I knew parts of this book were going to be heartbreaking when I started. Maybe not the best pick when I'm 5 months pregnant!

It took a little while to get through but was very fascinating. Joseph Lister lived to be 84 years old and see his way of sterilization of instruments prior to surgery was utilized to save countless lives. President Garfield was a truly captivating man with great family value and a noble heart. The man who shot him was scarily insane.

If president Garfield would have been shot in Europe he might have had a chance at surviving. I cringed as I read about the doctors sticking their un-sterilized instruments into his wound.

Interesting to read about life that seems so long ago. Alexander graham Bell invented the telephone and struggled with tons if lawsuits from people saying they invented it first. He eventually resigned from his own telephone company to pursue his dreams. President Garfield struggles with planning for a country so torn by the civil war and politically so split. No much changes in over 100 years!

So many twists and turns! Can't wait to see what happens!! Dan Brown is a master of suspense.

Read 2 stories. Didn't like either. Not sure if I'll stick with it or not.

Read 2 stories. 6% done on kindle edition. Didn't like either story very much. I'm not sure I will stick with it even though it got raving reviews. I think they are chronologically ordered so maybe the later ones will be better.

Picked up a little! Thank goodness.

Really having a hard time getting into this one.
