Very hard to want to put down. Not what I expected so far, but in a good way!

I don't love the jumping back and forth between so many years

Wow, loving this book so far!

Hmmm. Not loving this one yet!?!!!!

It took a little while get into but now I don't want to put it down. The story's plot just reminded me of another book I read not too long ago ; The concubine's Daughter. I hope I like it as well as I liked that one!

Some of the memoirs in the mothers mind section were very sad. There was a very good one on post partum depression.

Quick read. Each chapter is written by a different mother. There is a wide range of topics. So far a recurrent theme is how as mothers we need to come together rather than compete and tear each other down. Another recurrent theme is how no matter which way you choose to parent your child someone says you are doing it wrong. Very entertaining stories so far.

This is heartbreaking.

"But time, it is like charm. You never have as much as you think." I like this quote from the book. Elegantly put.

I'm not crazy about the way each chapter jumps to a new character, but I do like the way they eventually entertained and make sense.

"Oh honey, I'm too old to die in my young now." Hahahaha. Funny!

This book is full of great quotes. "Most marital grievances are petty and like hot house tomatoes: they end up way too big and barely resemble the real thing." "You dream yourself a life out of bits of fantasy and imaginings, like cotton candy, pink and mostly full of air. And then you have an actual life that has almost nothing to do with the cotton candy one. " Her writing is very visual!
