I went into this blind and somehow missed the glaringly obvious fact that this is a cannibalism book but joke's on you i LOVE cannibalism. Off the a great fucking start, cannot wait to consume this whole.

Five pages ago I was wondering when this stopped being annoying and got scary instead and now here we are, you, me, and the dead squirrels in the attic and the work room filled with dolls while we have pizza and chinese to summon our dead parents' ghosts.

I was having a real good time until I realised these kind of books always have the same friendship trio (one queer, one poc, but the main char is always cishet & white) and the same type of popular kids and then always the same kind of romance and suddenly its predictability is less charming to me? Hmmmmm

Sometimes all you need is a teenage detective romance that's nice and predictable.
