Jupp I’ve found a new author to place on my fave-shelf. This is my first Hannah Gray book and I hope it’s a good representation of her style, ‘cause then I’m putting her whole back-catalogue on my wish list.

Can’t get a grip on the MCs. The premise isn’t even “fairytale believable”. Yeah, she’s dirt-poor without a bucket to P in and on a whim she decides to get on a plane to freaking Italy and BAM she’s auditioning for -AND getting- a top modelling gig @ THE world famous fashion house and starts whining even before she starts working. Yeah, NO. I’m out 🎤⬇️

Not a fan of the audiobook narration by a female voicing all chapters in her usual voice whether it’s the FMC or the MMC’s chapters. So confusing and annoying.

Oh where to start… So, so, oh soooh naive and unprofessional FMC who behaves like a pubescent fangirl without a clue, as she flings her way into oncoming hockey-hunk traffic, plunging to her mortification on wobbling legs caused by alcohol and borrowed shoes. - AND how the F did she get her job without any experience at all?!

Well, in cp. 33 on tour through Europe, Sophie comments on the beauty of the view of the ocean as their tour bus heads south along the coast of Portugal by Lisbon. Her view of the PACIFIC OCEAN along the coast of Portugal. Sorry, babe but that’s the ATLANTIC OCEAN!

My Lord! The mouth on this guy. Wasn’t gonna listen to this one until I’d found out if no 2 is out in audio too. But, a sneak peek hooked me at once.

So here’s where the MMC goes completely BAT SHIT CRAZY!

Just too much angst and teen drama. Lots of mentions of the “incident” and the FMCs “new” personality but never any actual info.
Not interesting enough to keep listening to 3 x 12h. So DNF.

Halfway through and I’m starting to get bored. It’s really really slow and very very angry. It’s slowburn AF and they haven’t even kissed yet. Also, just realised it isn’t a standalone but continues in at least 2 more books each over 12h in audio. Not quite sure I’m up for that.

Love her writing style. Fun and cheeky while still feeling anchored in a somewhat realistic mindset.

Sorry but NO! This is NOT a dark romance. No HEA or anything if the sort. Well written and interesting characters and yes, the spice IS kinda amazing BUT…

My suggestion is to skip this one and instead read or watch Fight Club, The 6th Sense, Beetlejuice and leave it at that.
